We hope you’re all having a family and fun-filled long weekend! Jungle Jim’s would like to take a little time to remember the reason for Memorial Day.
This is a day of celebration, honoring, and mourning of all the fine men and women who have lost their lives serving in the United States military. Take a little time out of your day to pay your respects to the fallen, and keep the soldiers currently serving our country in your thoughts.
Stay safe, and enjoy celebrating with your friends and family!
Fairfield - SweetWater Brewing Co.
“SweetWater’s roots began back in Boulder, Colorado in the early 90’s while Freddy Bensch and Kevin McNerney were roommates at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
During their time out west, they realized they had more of a hankering for beer than books. Their first step into the profession was washing kegs on the loading docks of a local brewery for free beer. Not a bad job when you’re in college! With all this free beer, their grades went up, their cars got fixed, friends were plentiful and the sun shined a little brighter. Once they were finished with school, it was time to either find a real job, or get serious in the brewing business. Easy choice, right? Freddy and Kevin headed off to the American Brewers Guild in California aka Brewing School to sharpen up their knowledge of “Fermentation Science”! After that they were off and running brewing beer for other breweries around the west coast, learning their craft while keeping the dream of their own place alive.”
SweetWater beer that you will be able to try on Friday Include: To be announced.
Eastgate - Fat Head’s Brewery
About Fat Head’s
“Every great journey has a beginning. Ours began in the historic South Side of Pittsburgh, PA. Fat Head's Saloon was founded in 1992 and established itself as an early pioneer in bringing the craft beer industry to the area. The original Fat Head's earned an amazing following and has continually maintained a reputation as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant.
In 2009 Fat Head's teamed up with award winning brewer Matt Cole to create Fat Head's Brewery & Saloon in North Olmsted, Ohio and it crashed the scene like a two-headed monster. Success was virtually instantaneous (it came quickly). Producing over 5000 barrels in its first 3 years of business, Fat Head's beers gained notoriety by winning some of the most acclaimed awards in the brewing industry.
Fueled by high demand and the explosion in popularity of Fat Head's beers, we expanded to a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery is located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. We are dedicated to staying true to our core values of hard work and pride in craftsmanship that resonate throughout the region. We hope you enjoy the ride.”
Fat Head’s beer that you will be able to try on Friday include: Bumbleberry Wheat Ale, Head Hunter IPA, General Sherman Rye Pale Ale, and Hop Marauder Imperial IPA.
There’s a lot happening in the Jungle, and we love finding out about new, unique, fun and exciting products so that we can share them with you! Today we have a couple of items from our awesome Pet Department. Featuring items for cats, dogs and birds, our Pet Department is fully-stocked with some of the best foods, treats and other animal necessities in the area.
We’re featuring 2 newer, kinda quirky items this week - Kong’s Rogz Grinz Treat Ball Dog Toy and the Perky-Pet Hummerbar Hummingbird Feeder.
What makes these items so unique?
Kong’s Rogz Grinz Treat Ball Dog Toy (try saying that three times fast) is a humorous take on a tried and true classic. Granted, your dog must have the uncanny ability to pick the ball up and place it perfectly in their adorable little jaws to complete the effect, but we’re willing to bet the end result is more than worth it. You can find these for a limited time in the Pet Department with many other awesome dog toys and treats!
This particular hummingbird feeder takes into consideration the territorial behaviors of the hummingbirds themselves and cleverly solves the problem by going horizontal, instead of vertical, with it’s design. Once hung, the Perky-Pet Hummerbar Hummingbird Feeder is super easy to both fill and clean. If you’re trying to attract hummingbirds, or are looking to try out a new feeder or replace an old one, we can’t recommend this one enough.
We’ll have more awesome items from the Pet Department to share with you soon, so be sure to check back often as we explore the Jungle in all-new ways!
We’ll see you in the aisles!
Jacob is here with his top picks of what not to miss at Jungle Jim's Bacon and Cheese Festival!

We’ll be filling the parking lot with some of the best bacon, cheese, and, of course, beer we can get our hands on (and put into your eager hands, of course). We’re also bringing in some live entertainment and other ways to enjoy the festival, so come hungry and ready to have some fun.
Fairfield - Jackie O’s Brewery
About Jackie O’s
“In March 2013, after eighteen months of building and planning, Jackie O’s started a new chapter at our production facility at 25 Campbell Street when we began packaging beers into kegs. Two months later we fired up the line and canned Firefly Amber and Chomolungma, and the rest has been history in the making. We partnered with Cavalier distributing in August of 2013, around the same time we started canning Mystic Mama, and were able to start off 2014 with the addition of Hop Ryot cans. In February of 2015, we released Razz Wheat, just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Our production facility provides the Jackie O’s team the room to play and think big- hence our arsenal of barrels! From rum and bourbon, to sherry and tequila barrels, we’ve been skillfully aging specialty beers since 2013. Bourbon barrel beers are packaged into 375 mL bottles, along side their non-barrel aged counterparts.
99.9% of the beers that our loyal customers have consumed around the state in 2014 year have come from this facility, and we are grateful for the opportunity expand our efforts and get Jackie O’s beer into more hands across Ohio.”
Jackie O’s beer that you will be able to try on Friday include: Mystic Mama IPA, Razz Wheat, Mandala DIPA, Berliner Weise, Matriarch Triple IPA, Dark Apparition Russian Imp. and Stout, Rickey Blonde Ale!
Eastgate - Bell’s Brewery
“Our journey began with a 15-gallon soup kettle, a quest for better beer and countless batches of homebrew. The passion and personality that began Bell’s continues today through our breweries and Eccentric Café. We continue to grow and evolve, dedicated to our mission; to be fiercely independent, 100% family owned, deeply rooted to our community, committed to the environment and brewers of inspired beer.”
Bell’s beer that you will be able to try on Friday include: TBD
Packed with flavor, heat and a little bit of that moonshine burn, Ole Smoky Hot BBQ Sauce, Clear Hot Sauce and Moonshine Salsa are now on the shelves at Jungle Jim’s International Market!
A favorite of our own Liquor Store, Ole Smoky Moonshine is one of the leading names in the resurgent moonshine industry. It only makes sense that they would branch out and make sauces of their own.
Hot BBQ Sauce - made with their own corn whiskey, this BBQ is a classic take on an already classic flavor. Tomato, garlic, chipotle and and hickory make this as rich as it is zesty, with just enough heat to make sure you know it’s there.
Clear Hot Sauce - looks can be deceiving with this moonshine enhanced hot sauce. With it’s clarity and bottle design, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was simply moonshine. But the vinegar, salt and pure capsicum (the molecule that makes peppers “hot”) leave no room for confusion.
Apple Jack Moonshine Salsa - a little moonshine goes a long way in this salsa that features jalapeno, apples and honey. Onions and garlic fill out the flavor, and the mellow heat from the jalapenos give it just enough of a kick to make things interesting. Lots of flavor happening here!
Be sure to check out these great sauces and salsa, and don’t forget about our Hot Sauce(s) of the Month! We have two for the month of May that you can check out here and here.
We’re ready to grill out, so remember - we have everything you need to take your next cookout to the next level! Come and get it!
Until next time. Keep it hot!

Made in Belgium, Camargue Salted Butter is one of the best butters we’ve had the pleasure of tasting. The butter itself receives its main characteristics from the large chunks of sea salt that are brought in from the French Rhone Delta. Despite what you might think, these big chunks of sea salt do not degrade or lessen the butter in any way, but help to keep both the flavor of the butter and the salt itself quite remarkably.
When people talk about “melt in your mouth,” this is what they mean. Even better, it has so many applications you can use it for. It's perfect for meat, seafood, cooking - really anything you want or need to put butter on or in, this is the one you need.
You can find Camargue Salted Butter in the Cheese Shop at both Jungle Jim’s locations for $3.49 for each 8.8oz container.
