We’re big fans of the Hot Ones YouTube series, and judging by your requests for the hot sauces they feature, it seems like you are, too. So we’re setting up a special section in the Hot Sauce Department to highlight some of wide variety of sauces they’ve featured. While we’re setting that up, we thought now would be a great time to highlight some of our favorites, as well! Check out these outrageous hot sauces!
TorchBearer Sauces - Zombie Apocalypse
With Ghost Chili’s and Habanero, this is the second hottest sauce that TorchBearer Sauces creates. Loaded with flavor - and heat - this one is absolutely worth picking up, with or without a hoard of undead at your heels.
Mad Dog 357 Hot Sauces
Picking up any one of the Mad Dog 357 line of hot sauces guarantees two things - heat and flavor. From just moving the needle on the Scoville Scale, to having it burst through the side trying to keep up.
High River Sauces - Rogue
Floral, fruity and hot as all get out, Rogue highlights Moruga Scorpion, Jolokia, and Red Serrano and their interplay with apples, blood oranges, and more. Complex and delicious, this one ratchets everything up to 11.
Bravado Spice - Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce
This one’s so simple it hurts. Slightly sweet thanks to copious amounts of blueberries, this peppery, spicy sauce works its magic on a variety of dishes. It all depends on how adventurous you’re feeling.
Pain is Good - Louisiana Style Batch #218 Hot Sauce
Cajun through and through, this Louisiana style sauce relies on habanero peppers for its heat and flavor. Want to kick your burgers, steaks, chicken, and fish into overdrive? Look no further.
Da’ Bomb - Beyond Insanity Hot Sauce
Habanero based - and, really, jam packed with habaneros, this one clocks in at almost 120k on the Scoville Scale. It doesn’t hold anything back. Lookin’ for your next go-to hot sauce? This might be it.
So get ready, Chili Heads! We’re excited to share all of these hot sauces - and more - with you, so stop by and talk with us about all things hot sauce the next time you’re at Jungle Jim’s.
And remember: keep it hot, keep it flavorful.

If you’ve shopped the aisles under and around the fire truck at either Jungle Jim’s location, you know that there’s a lot of flavor, and even more heat, packed onto those shelves. Volcanic Peppers is no exception.
We’re excited to have a few new items from these Head Honchos of Heat in the form of 2 flavorful and, of course, hot salt and pepper grinders and a new chocolate habanero powder. Ready to light things up and bring a little fire to the table? Let’s go!
You can find these wild, intense and exciting offerings from Volcanic Peppers at both locations - just ask one of our resident hot sauce gurus to help you out!
This month, we’re taking a look at a new product that’s on the Jungle Jim’s shelves - Naturesta Hot Sauces. Dubbed “sauces for healthy and fun living,” each of their sauces is all natural, with no more than 5 ingredients and a shelf life of up to 2 years! Grown from seed then brought to the bottle, Naturesta Hot Sauces take advantage of their peppers’ high vitamin content and, of course, heat, to help make these not only flavorful, but good for you, as well.
For June, we’re featuring two flavors from their extensive lineup - Green and Sriracha
Green - This is an easygoing hot sauce that packs a little more punch than you might think. Overwhelmingly “green” in flavor, this one has a saltiness and a sly heat to it that amplifies the flavor of any dish you use it on. Add it to eggs for a bit of an early morning jolt, or splash a few drops in the soup of your choice to give it an extra layer of flavor.
Sriracha - A little sweeter than the Green sauce, with an admittedly different flavor profile, their Sriracha comes close to the classic Sriracha taste you know and love, offering just enough of a variation to make it their own. We like this one in pho, or, hear us out, on hot dogs. Go ahead - try it!
Additionally, we're excited to offer two more varieties of Naturesta Hot Sauces, their Original and Buffalo flavors!
Original - Boasting only four ingredients - yep, you read that right... 4! - their Original Hot Sauce is as simple as it comes, but packs a surprising amount of heat and flavor into the bottle. You'll find this on the shelf with their Green, Sriracha and Buffalo, ready for just about anything you want to add some heat to!
Buffalo - A classic flavor, simply done (and very well executed). Close to the mostly orange color we usually associate with this style of hot sauce, it's a deeper shade thanks to its lack of food coloring. The flavor, however, is exactly what you want out of a top notch Buffalo style hot sauce. Your next batch of wings will thank you.
We hope to see you perusing the shelves underneath and around the fire trucks soon! The weather’s warming up, and we think your food should be heating up, too. As always, we’re here to help, so if you have any questions, we’d love to talk hot sauce with you!
Until next time… Keep it hot!
Jungle Jim’s Pepperologist
Packed with flavor, heat and a little bit of that moonshine burn, Ole Smoky Hot BBQ Sauce, Clear Hot Sauce and Moonshine Salsa are now on the shelves at Jungle Jim’s International Market!
A favorite of our own Liquor Store, Ole Smoky Moonshine is one of the leading names in the resurgent moonshine industry. It only makes sense that they would branch out and make sauces of their own.
Hot BBQ Sauce - made with their own corn whiskey, this BBQ is a classic take on an already classic flavor. Tomato, garlic, chipotle and and hickory make this as rich as it is zesty, with just enough heat to make sure you know it’s there.
Clear Hot Sauce - looks can be deceiving with this moonshine enhanced hot sauce. With it’s clarity and bottle design, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was simply moonshine. But the vinegar, salt and pure capsicum (the molecule that makes peppers “hot”) leave no room for confusion.
Apple Jack Moonshine Salsa - a little moonshine goes a long way in this salsa that features jalapeno, apples and honey. Onions and garlic fill out the flavor, and the mellow heat from the jalapenos give it just enough of a kick to make things interesting. Lots of flavor happening here!
Be sure to check out these great sauces and salsa, and don’t forget about our Hot Sauce(s) of the Month! We have two for the month of May that you can check out here and here.
We’re ready to grill out, so remember - we have everything you need to take your next cookout to the next level! Come and get it!
Until next time. Keep it hot!
Jungle Jim’s “Pepperologist”

Their aim is to craft hot sauces that highlight and bring out the raw elements of the ingredients they’re using, and we happy to say: it shows. These bottles are jam-packed with all kinds of delicious tastes that we think you’re going to love just as much as we do.
Ready to try something new? Bravado Spice Company offers four great tastes for four totally different experiences. All of them are worth trying (more than a few times). Be sure to stop by the Hot Sauce Department to grab a bottle or two, and don’t forget - your resident Pepperologist is ready to answer all your questions!
Until next time, keep it hot!
Jungle Jim’s “Pepperologist”
We stopped to chat with our resident Pepperologist about one of his Hot Sauce of the Month picks for May, Cholula Hot Sauce. Take a look at what Don thinks about this hot sauce staple - imported from Mexico - and then stop by to pick up one of our favorite hot sauces for ANY month the next time you’re here!
You might think that all honeys are created equal, but Bushwick Kitchen begs to differ.
Taking an already beloved foodstuff and an actual legend of the hot sauce world and making it your own would be a tough proposition for just about anyone, so when Bushwick Kitchen stepped up to the plate and brought more flavor and more fun to both honey and sriracha, we were more than just surprised, we were impressed!
Their Bees Knees line of honeys are, well, the bees knees. Currently, Jungle Jim’s carries the Salted and Spicy Honey bottles. Sweet and savory already, Bushwick Kitchen take raw wildflower honey and combines with just about of salt to bring out even more amazing flavors. This one’s great on soft pretzels, or on sandwiches with sliced bananas and natural peanut butter.
The Spicy Honey is a delicate balance of sweet and heat, with just the right amount of both to make this a delicious addition to hot and cold teas (yeah, we said it), on top of ice cream, or freshly made buttermilk biscuits.
Combining two taste titans like Gochujang and Sriracha was, without a doubt, a stroke of genius. There’s so much flavor and just the right amount of spiciness, it elevates any dish it’s used on. Salty, garlicky, peppery and hot, this is great on ramen, pho and hot dogs and sausages. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try it as a dipping sauce with dried mango (just trust us).
Stop in soon to see us and grab a bottle or two of the awesome creations. You won’t be disappointed. And remember: keep it hot!
