The cake like consistency makes it the perfect after dinner snack, and the lemon flavor absolutely tastes like summer. It comes from the Puglia region of Italy, and is special because of the buffalo milk whey that’s used to produce it. It gives it the richest and most savory taste imaginable.
I like to serve this treat a couple of different ways. While great on its own, this might just be best served with fresh strawberries and a little bit of powdered sugar, or if you’re feeling exceptionally decadent, drizzle some chocolate syrup over it. For an extra touch: with the chocolate syrup, you can place it in the freezer until the chocolate hardens and creates a delicious crust around it.
