Picholine - an oval shaped green olive that is crisp and rich, the Picholine hails from France. Originally grown in the Gard region of France, it’s actually now grown around the world. Picholine olives are often said to be called “the poor man’s Luque,” as they are a close cousin and are similar in size, color and shape. This olive is not to be missed, though - it has a nutty and “snappy” flavor that will delight every fan of olives!
Gemlik - a soft, rich black olive from the Marmara Birlik region of Turkey, Gemlik olives have a complex yet sweet flavor. This salt cured olive is marinated in oil to maintain it’s soft and supple texture. In Turkey, this olive is a breakfast food, so why not do as the Turks and have some with your own breakfast? Try a different way to eat your daily portion of fruit!

Whether you eat this on its own, before your favorite meal, or make it a meal on a bed of fresh greens, we think it will be one of your favorites from our Olive Bar!
