Fairfield - Lagunitas Brewing Co.
“From points distant and beyond we all converged on Petaluma in 1993 and '94 with an unenunciated desire to be more than we were before. The core of Lagunitas came from Chicago, St Louis, Memphis, Walker Creek, and the highlands of Quincy.
The Lagunitas Brewing Co. was not so much an act of ordinary 'founding' as it was willed into being by the unspoken desire of supportive beer-lovers in Northern California, after which they continued to nurture their creation and urged us forward to fulfill the unifying needs of that same beer-loving diaspora from coast to coast and beyond. It is good to have friends!”
Lagunitas beers that you will be able to try on Friday include: Waldos' Triple IPA, Born Again Pale Ale, Davey Murrays Scotch Ale and Aunt Sally Sour!
Eastgate - Rivertown Brewery
“Our founder and fearless leader, Jason Roeper, has always had a passion for fermentation. Growing up, he was enamored by his uncle who spent his weekends brewing beer and sharing handcrafted libations with family. Jason brewed his first beer on his 21st birthday with his uncle by his side; he swears it was terrible but continued to persevere, experiment and hone in his craft.
In search of honest feedback, Jason began sending his beers to a variety of National and Local homebrew competitions. Despite his success on the homebrew level, he continued to dial in his processes and while doing this, discovered his passion for yeasts and bacteria of the wild variety.
In 2007, Jason became a finalist in the Sam Adams Longshot Competition with his unblended Lambic, called “Straight Up”. Shortly after that experience, Jason put his vision onto paper and began pounding the pavement. He never accepted no for an answer, despite how many times he initially heard it. Jason’s dream of sharing his passion with a larger audience was finally realized in 2009 when Rivertown Brewing Company was born into a tiny space in Lockland, Ohio. From that day forward, Rivertown has embraced a spirit of determination in everything we do.”
Rivertown beer that you will be able to try on Friday include: Blueberry Lager, Divergent, Roebling Vanilla Espresso Porter, Nice Mellons and possibly more!
